The Wildlife Interpretation route is a circular circuit to be done on snowshoes designed for families and all people interested in La Molina's nature.
With start at the Gondola Lift's Parking, there will be several stops along the circuit (18), in which participants will find a representative animal belonging to La Molina's wildlife. In each stop there will be an illustrated animal figure, a descriptive panel with its biology, its footprint drawing and a section called "Did you know...?" referring to a curiosity about its biology, habits, myth or legend.
At La Molina's Head Offices, participants will acquire a map with some explanations, the itinerary, a tab where to stamp each stop (participants must stamp each animal to prove they have ended the route), and a short questionnaire. Once the route is finished, they will receive a diploma.
The animals chosen in the route are the following: roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo bubo), asp viper (Vipera aspis), red squirrel (Sciurius vulgaris), red fox (Vulpes vulpes), Pyrenean chamois (Rupicapra pyrenaica), European hare (Lepus europaeus), marmot (Marmota marmota), European pine marten (Martes martes), wild boar (Sus scrofa), European badger (Meles meles).
In just one panel there will be all the birds together. The most representative are these ones: red crossbill (Loxia curvirostra), coal tit (Parus ater), common chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs), black woodpecker (Dryocopus matrius), griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), bearded vulture (Gypaetus barbatus), golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), Raven (Corvus corax).
