The IPC World Cup will take place until 18th Saturday in La Molina ski resort. There are participating snowboarders from 13 different countries.

The IPC Para-Snowboard World Cup, which takes place at La Molina, FGC Station Group, has brilliantly begun for the rider Astrid Fina, from Barcelona, who has finished second in the SBLL2 category (athletes with tibial amputation): "I am very happy with the result that I obtained today. Last week, in the Big White World Para Snowboard Championships, in Canada, I finished far from the top positions and today I have been very close to the victory. Tomorrow, in the second test of SBX, I will try to go to the limit to take the gold. Fina Paredes has finished 0.09 seconds from Bunschoten.

This year the World Cup welcomes athletes from all over the world: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Finland, Spain, the United States, Netherlands, Ukraine, Italy, the United Kingdom and China.

The snowboard-cross is performed in a circuit with man-made jumps as well as modules with narrow and windy curves that challenge the racer in various areas during the run.

There is an initial qualification round with the fastest riders progressing to race head-to-head for medals. Snowboarders have to be good technically in order to overcome the difficulties in the course. They have to know how to jump and they also have to work tactically.

These are the results of other members of the Spanish team competing in IPC Para-Snowboard World Cup: the Catalan Vic Gonzalez finished seventh, and the Andalusian Oscar Gonzalez Gonzalez finished eighth in the SBLL1 category (athletes with femoral amputations, Medullary lesions and double tibial lesions).
