Diving in icy waters.
It is a familiar activity in which priorities are safety and fun. Depending on whether the lake is frozen or not, dives are organised individually or in small groups. The minimum age to participate is 10 years old and not previous experience is needed.
There are a total of 4 lakes located between 1,700 meters and 2,300 meters, with depths of about 15 meters. Depending on the previous experience (which must be certificated), you can access to a certain depths and you can stay there for 40 or 50 minutes.
However, one of the requirements for the activity is a previous acclimatization in order to avoid complications. 6 hours are necessary to balance the pressure of the body with pressure from the outside, because many visitors coming from the coast change their altitude very quickly (from 0 to 2,300m) in less than two hours. Furthermore, once the activity ends, the diving school gives a certificate to to each participating.
The activity includes:
• Specialized equipment for diving
• 1 immersion in the lake
• Instructor - Guide
• Certificate DSD (Discover Scuba Diving)
• Insurance for the Day
• Lots of fun and safety
The activity can be done both, in winter and in summer, and prior booking is required.
Rates for diving in lakes depends on the chosen lake and the number of dives, in addition, there are specialized courses.
